I have been with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since November 2006.  I work in unison with Geoff Passehl in preparing insurance strategies for our clients. In addition, Geoff has been working on our other passion in building the Philadelphia Office and our overall presence in the market. We have a strong commitment to let people in the community know who we are, what we do, and how we can help them achieve their goals.

We are looking for individuals who are self-driven, entrepreneurial, goal oriented and would be dynamite at doing what we do, these individuals would not necessarily be in the market for a career change. We just look to meet sharp intelligent people that want to have an impact on the community, want to have an entrepreneurial lifestyle, are extremely coachable, and that would just be open to the idea of hearing about a professional opportunity

My primary responsibilities include generating life and disability insurance proposals, emailing follow-up requests, finishing/forwarding applications for underwriting, and managing the flow of requirements between our clients and the insurance company(ies) during the application process. I am also the main contact for maintaining Geoff’s calendar with regard to client appointments in person or via phone, his business travel and 401k enrollments. I hold my Life/Disability insurance licenses and am currently studying for my CLU designation.

Geoff and I work closely with Business Clubs of America, the Philadelphia chapter, and YPN, Young Professionals Network.

On a personal level, I am one of Philadelphia’s biggest sports fans. My other hobbies include dining around town with my friends, attending local concerts, and softball.

With regard to volunteer efforts, I work with my colleague Sylvia helping with Students Run Philly Style and in working with YPN, I have worked with Philabundance helping at the local food bank.  
 

Sylvia has been with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network since April 2001. She assists Geoff in his preparation of financial plans and investment analyses for our clients. Sylvia attended Temple University for her Bachelor's degree and has completed graduate coursework at The American College and Chestnut Hill College. She is securities licensed and is insurance licensed in PA and NJ for Life & Health and Long Term Care insurance. She recently completed her first marathon and you can catch her literally running in different events around the Philadelphia area.

 Her primary responsibilities include:

1. Generating proposals
2. Preparing client files for Geoff's reviews
3. Setting-up and transferring accounts
4. Processing other day-to-day investment operations

Sylvia assists in the agency's involvement with the non-profit organization Students Run Philly Style.
